1973年與同學遊Oregon的Crater Lake時購買的一塊木匾,記得頗有哲理,茲憑記憶介紹如下:
WHY WORRY ABOUT?
There are two things to worry about, either you are healthy or you are sick. If your are heathy, you don’t have to worry about. If you are sick, there are tow things to worry about, either you get better or you get worse. If you get better, you don’t have to worry about. If you get worse, you may die. If you die, there are two things to worry about, either you go to the heaven, or you go to the hell. If you go to the heaven, you don’t have to worry about. If you go to the hell, you will have too many friends to shake hand with, you don’t have time to worry about!
Witty and sensible! 吾兄提出的这一思考逻辑,显示医生的确需要一点佛学,才是一个治病又治思想的好医生。而要治好病,其实非先治好思想不得竟其功。用这次部落格的逻辑推理治疗病人,占门诊量至少三分之一以的病人,以後再也不会上门复诊了。
